Church Life - Activities

There are a range of regular activities connected with All Saints Church, some take place at the church and others elsewhere. Some have a very regular pattern (eg housegroups), but others come and go (eg Alpha, Emmaus, Lent groups). Please check the calendar as dates sometimes change, depending on Church festivals, school holidays, people's availability.

Advent Prayer: The church will be open for prayer for 30 minutes each day. The focal point will be the Advent Calender for that day.

Dec 15: rock: God leads us to safe, secure places. Think of one thing to be grateful to God for today.

Dec 16: soap: God's love changes us. It is like soap that makes us clean. Thank God for something good that has changed in your life.

Dec 17: blankets: God's Son was wrapped in blankets and laid in a manger. What does God want to reveal to you today? Pray that God will show you.

Dec 18: cereals: being involved in God's harvest brings its own rewards. Pray that God will use you.

Dec 19: woolly hat: the shepherds looked after their flocks. Thank God for those whose lives are connected with yours.

Dec 20: key: "knock and the door will be opened" - opening doors often leads to challenge. Pray that God will show you what needs to change and that he will walk along side you as you do.

Dec 21: voice: a voice crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord.

Dec 22: coin: Jesus said "give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and what belongs to God, to God" How do ypu understand that in your own life?

Dec 23: frankincense: a symbol of prayer and worship. Spend some time today praising God and do something in his name today.

Dec 24: silence: Christmas is such a busy time, can you find five minutes on this Christmas Eve to sit in silence and wait on God?

Dec 25: new-born baby: as the old year ends and a new begins, and as we celebrate the birth of a new-born, what would you like God to 'make new' in your life?
